Terms of Service

1. Who you're contracting with

These terms are between you and KM TECH LABS ("we", "us"), a company based in Kristiansand, Norway (Organisation No. 934 044 029), which develops and operates WORTHALYZE at worthalyze.com.

2. What WORTHALYZE is

WORTHALYZE is a deterministic comparison engine: you tell it the phone you own and the phone you are considering, and it calculates an Upgrade Value Score from published expert reviews, lab measurements and benchmark data, weighted by fixed rules and the priorities you set. No generative AI makes the decision or writes the verdict — the full rules the engine follows are published on our Method page.

The underlying evidence comes from a growing set of independent publishers. While we roll out live collection publisher by publisher, some findings come from a seeded demonstration dataset, and are always labelled as such in the analysis.

WORTHALYZE gives you a structured, evidence-based opinion to help you make up your own mind. It is not financial, professional or purchasing advice, and we don't guarantee that any particular published source is complete, current or free of error.

3. Accounts

You can run free verdicts without an account. An account is needed to buy a subscription or a single analysis, and to keep track of what you have already unlocked. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials secure, and to be responsible for activity under your account. You need to be able to enter a binding contract under the law of the country where you live to make a purchase.

4. Free tier and paid plans

Free accounts get a limited number of headline verdicts (currently 3) — the Upgrade Value Score and a high-level breakdown, without the detailed reasoning or evidence. Paid access unlocks the full analysis, either through a one-time purchase covering a single comparison, or an ongoing Monthly or Yearly subscription covering unlimited comparisons. Current prices are shown on our Pricing page and may change from time to time; a price change does not apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

5. Billing and subscriptions

Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from "Manage subscription" on the Pricing page; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not billed again after that. See our Refund Policy for how refunds are handled.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use WORTHALYZE unlawfully, or in a way that infringes anyone else's rights;
• try to get around the free-tier limit through multiple accounts or automated sign-ups;
• scrape, reverse-engineer or resell the comparison engine, its underlying data, or its output as your own product;
• interfere with the normal operation of the service, or try to access data or accounts that are not yours.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The WORTHALYZE name, the site, its design, and the scoring methodology and software behind it belong to KM TECH LABS or are licensed to us. Using the service does not transfer any ownership of these to you. The published reviews, tests and measurements referenced in an analysis remain the property of their original publishers; we link to them so you can read the source yourself.

8. Third-party sources and links

An analysis links out to the expert reviews and test results it is based on, and other pages may link to third-party sites. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or availability.

9. No warranty

WORTHALYZE is provided "as is." We work to keep the engine, its data and the site itself accurate and available, but we don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any given verdict perfectly predicts your real-world experience with a device.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, KM TECH LABS is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of WORTHALYZE, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law, or affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

11. Changes to the service and these terms

WORTHALYZE is an evolving product — categories, metrics and features may be added, changed or retired over time. We may update these terms as the service changes; continuing to use WORTHALYZE after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
